Friends of Maidenbower Junior School

The PTA (or Friends of Maidenbower Junior School) is a group of parents, teachers and friends of the school whose mission is to raise funds to provide additional equipment or experiences to enrich the children’s education. We are a friendly bunch, having one meeting a term over a coffee in the staff room, but we like to think we make a big difference.

We organize:

Car boot sales - the next one is
Children’s film nights
Pizza Days (no packed lunch today, Mum !)
Christmas Fair (with the other two Maidenbower schools)
Fireworks (with the other two Maidenbower schools)

We run the 100 CLUB, where for £12.00 a year (or more if you want more entries) you choose a number and if that number comes up in the monthly draw, you win half the money in the pot and the school gets the other half. When there are 100 members, the prize is obviously £50! Please click here to join. If you would like to pay by standing order then please download this form.

We have set up a Web Shop whichcosts you nothing to use. If you shop here, you will be generating revenue for the school so your children will benefit. Click the Buy At logo on the left to go to the shop.

We have recently purchased/are buying:

An outdoor stage
New netball posts
Large permanent outdoor musical instruments for the playground
Drums to launch a lunchtime African drumming club
An after-SATs bowling trip for Year 6 (part-funding)

Being part of the PTA means you get to know other parents, contribute to improving the school and find out more about school life more quickly than you otherwise would.
